I Dare You

Where I Dare You runs

This app runs on Robinhood Chain testnet, an EVM network. Dares are funded and paid out in test USDG, and network fees are paid in testnet ETH. Everything here is testnet, so nothing carries real value.

Robinhood Chain testnet

Robinhood Chain is an EVM network. The escrow that holds dare funds is an onchain contract deployed there. Dares are funded and paid out in USDG, a US dollar stablecoin, and network fees are paid in ETH. On this app both are testnet tokens with no real value.

Adding it to your wallet

If you signed in with email or Google, your embedded wallet is already pointed at the right network - there is nothing to configure. If you connect your own wallet, add Robinhood Chain testnet with these details:

  • Network name: Robinhood Chain testnet
  • Chain ID: 46630
  • Currency symbol: ETH (gas)
  • RPC URL: https://rpc.testnet.chain.robinhood.com
  • Block explorer: explorer.testnet.chain.robinhood.com

Viewing your transactions

Every action - backing, claiming, submitting proof, withdrawing - is a transaction onchain. You can look any of them up on the block explorer at explorer.testnet.chain.robinhood.com by pasting your wallet address or a transaction hash. This is how you can independently confirm where escrow funds sit.

The tokens involved

Two tokens matter for using the app, and the IDY protocol token is separate from both:

  • USDG - the funding token dares are pledged and paid out in (test USDG on this app).
  • ETH - the gas token that pays network fees (testnet ETH here).

The IDY protocol token is separate from the funding token and is not needed to post, back, or claim a dare; see The IDY token.

Other networks

Robinhood Chain is the network I Dare You runs on today. Support for Solana is planned as a future launch - it is not live yet, and nothing in the app runs on Solana for now. Any additional networks will be listed here as they go live.

Testnet - no real value

Robinhood Chain testnet is for testing. Balances are test USDG and the gas token is testnet ETH, neither of which has real value. See Set up your wallet to get started.
